Norwegian Coastal Administration - Havbase

The marine base contains the position data from the AIS. These position indications are then enriched with figures on emission coefficients and estimation of the distance travelled. Emission figures are estimated based on vessel speed and IHS Fairplay vessel log information regarding horsepower/engine type, fuel type, vessel size, crew, etc. The possibility of connection to different vessel registers makes us able to extract and present detailed location information with distance travelled and estimated operating emissions aggregated over areas and over time for individual vessels and different types of vessels.
